Watch

Conditions are favorable for the hazard, but where and when are still uncertain. Review your plan and stay alert.

Advisory

A less serious hazard that can still cause real trouble. Take care, especially when traveling or on the water.

Statement

Updates and context from the local office, such as storm movement, river levels or rip current risk.

Severity

Extreme

Extraordinary threat to life or property.

Severe

Significant threat to life or property.

Moderate

Possible threat to life or property.

Minor

Minimal to no known threat to life or property.

The colored edge on each alert is the official National Weather Service hazard color for that event, the same palette used on The Eye. Alerts are listed most significant first, using the NWS display priority.
